CEEF Exchange-- Last call!

Thanks to those students who have submitted their preliminary applications for next year's 2 or 3 month exchange program to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, or Spain.

For any interested student who has not yet submitted his or her preliminary application-- or has yet to get one-- please drop by my workroom (206) during my lunch period (period 3), or after school next Tuesday or Wednesday (Feb.17 or 18).  I'd like to get these applications sent up to the CEEF office in Barrie by the end of next week.

Merci!  Danke!

Important: St-Donat Pre-Departure Meeting Tonight: Cancelled

Due to the fact that all schools are closed today because of the snow storm, the St-Donat parent meeting scheduled for this evening (February 2) has been cancelled.

The power point presentation that was going to be shared with you can be sent to you via email-- please send me a message if you would like this (yullj@hdsb.ca), and I will send it to you immediately.

The most important information you need to know:

-We depart on Sunday morning from the OTHS parking lot at 7am sharp.  Please arrive approximately 15 minutes beforehand so that there are no delays.

-We'll arrive back at OT on Wednesday, Feb.11 at approximately 8 pm.

-Pack warm clothes!  Bring layers!  One suitcase per student, please.

-If you have your own ski/snowboard equipment, it will be stored in a separate compartment underneath the coach.

-Students renting equipment will pay for their skis/ snowboards upon arrival in St-Donat.  They can pay by cash, debit, or cheque (payable to Ski Mont Garceau).  $43 for skis, $57 for snowboards.

-Bring skates if you wish!  Skating is not mandatory.

-Helmets must be worn by students at all times when skiing, snowboarding or skating.

-Students should remember to bring money for lunches (breakfasts, dinners and snacks are always included).

-Students should bring their Ontario Health Card with them.

Interested parents who would still like to speak with a representative from Perspectives directly can do so at Iroquois Ridge High School tomorrow night (Feb.3) at 7pm for their pre-departure meeting.

Thank you all for your understanding-- we're all looking forward to a great trip!

See you all Sunday morning (a few minutes before 7am)-- bright and early!

Merci,

M. Yull

CEEF Exchange

Attention all current grade 9 and 10 students who are interested in taking part in a 2 or 3 month exchange program to Belgium, France, Spain, or Germany next year:  your preliminary applications are due-- along with the $400 deposit cheque-- by this Wednesday, February 4 in my workroom (room 206).

If you were were unable to make the information session a few weeks ago, and have any questions about this great opportunity, don't hesitate to stop by and speak with me anytime so that I can tell you about all of the benefits of this experience-- and how much I got out of it when I was in high school!

Also, this week, we have 12 current OT students who will be travelling to Europe to spend 2 or 3 months with their exchange partners!  BON VOYAGE to all of you--- I can't wait to hear about all of your adventures when you return!
